VSEPS matters for you personally along with our colleagues, patients and community.
We matter to physicians as a way to seek continuing education, have a strong voice to government and industry, build a better physician network, and strengthen patient advocacy- that all adds up to all of us providing better care. Patients benefit from their eye physicians being more engaged with vital partners of the healthcare team and community. And we matter to Virginia as a whole, as we advance healthcare issues that benefit the overall wellbeing and safety of our fellow citizens.
Our agenda contains familiar items like our collaboration with the Medical Society of Virginia and other stakeholders. We will continue to partner with the MSV to improve advocacy on behalf of our patients. Our successful legislative efforts will persist, as we strive to protect patient care and safety.
This year we inaugurated the Young Ophthalmologists effort to engage new physicians in leadership development and organized medicine. Also, our Board of Directors is traveling out to you, our members, to encourage feedback and insight on how we can better serve you. Stayed tuned for when we’ll be in your area
In January VSEPS hosts its third White Coats on Call Day at the State Capitol in Richmond. For VSEPS members and their staff, we are co-hosting the CodeQuest Coding College with the American Academy of Ophthalmology in April. Our 31st Annual Scientific Conference will be held in June in Richmond. Enjoy the company of your colleagues and their families. Participate in top notch continuing education. Current VSEPS members (2014 dues paid) who attend the OMIC risk management seminar will receive a 10% discount on OMIC insurance policies.
So, again – why VSEPS? Because we get things done. We have a lot to look forward to! Because it takes our strength in numbers to make a difference. Because your membership is a pathway to the new and exciting things we are doing at VSEPS. Thank you for your support.
